The Bossier Parish School Board will provide employees with up to one week (5 days) of paid Covid-19 Leave when circumstances occur as defined by the following event:
One week (5 days) of paid sick leave per incident where the employee is unable to work because the employee is quarantined, as initiated by the Bossier Parish School Board, (pursuant to Federal, State, or Local government order or advice of a health care provider) due to being identified as a positive or a close contact to a positive case and which occurred during the employee’s official duty as a Bossier Parish School Board employee.
Bossier Parish School Board COVID-19 Leave does not carryover from one school year to the next. Employees are not entitled to reimbursement for unused leave upon termination, resignation, retirement, or other separation from employment. The employee that is approved for Bossier Parish School Board COVID-19 Leave will NOT have the sixty-five percent (65%) paid salary principle applied to the approval. Therefore, leave will be paid at 100%.
