EQUAL EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES

 

 

It shall be the policy of the Bossier Parish School Board that the school district shall place an equal emphasis upon the nondiscriminatory provision of educational opportunities for children and no person shall be excluded from participation in or denied the benefits of any education service, program or activity on the basis of economic status, intellectual ability, marital status, race, color, disability, religion, creed, national origin, natural, protective, or cultural hairstyle, age, or sex.  All programs offered by schools within the school district shall be open to all students in compliance with statutory and judicial requirements.

 

The Superintendent or designee shall investigate any and all complaints which may be brought against the district in regard to any alleged discriminatory action.  Grievance procedures to provide for prompt and equitable resolution of student complaints shall be the same as those used for employees.
